SIM Card Registration Act
This advisory is released to ensure compliance with Republic Act 11934, requiring mandatory SIM card registration prior to activation. Furthermore, online registration portals are fully established by Smart, Globe, and DITO so subscribers can complete essential verification steps easily.
Although an extension of SIM card registration was approved by President Marcos for ninety days, millions remained unregistered. Consequently, additional subscribers were given crucial time by the government so that pervasive digital fraud could be eliminated.
