Many countries restrict imports in order to shield domestic markets from foreign competition. Such behavior is known as protectionism. Countries do this mainly to satisfy political demands at home.

Arts and Culture

Artworks

All kinds of artworks, including statues and paintings.

Religious items

Religious materials, such as non halal food, anti-Islamic materials.

Foodstuff and health related

Perishable goods

All perishable goods that require a specific temperature for storage, such as dairy products, eggs, chocolate, fresh fruits and vegetables, and homemade food.

Powdered formula

Any powdered formula for infants and young children under 36 months, such as milk powder and soya milk powder.

Uncooked seafood or meat

Any raw meat, such as uncooked seafood, animal flesh, and meat products.

Manufactured food

Only 10kg of Manufactured food (e.g. cheese and cake) is allowed in a shipment.

Honey

All types of honey are strictly prohibited.

Medicines or any Drugs

All kinds of prescription drugs, narcotics, opium, morphine, supplements, contraceptives, psychiatric drugs and their raw materials.

Juice, Coffee and Tea

All kinds of juice, coffee, coffee product and catha edulis / abyssinian tea.

Medical Devices

All kinds of medical equipments and devices are strictly prohibited.

Nuts

All kinds of nuts, including edible seeds are strictly prohibited.

Food seasoning

Such as flavour and chili spices.

Science, Technology and Nature

Plants and seeds

All species of plants and plant products, such as coco(leaves), wheat, corn, trees, flowers, preserved flowers, naturally/artificially dried flowers, herbs, seed and other natural products.

Bones, Debris, Fur and Fossils

Any parts of animals and human, including embryos, organs, hair and fur (e.g. leather and its products), bone, hoof and horn, human remains and fossils, etc.

Fertilizers and Soil

All species of seeds, fertilizers, soils and any kind of unknown powders that cannot be distinguished, except edible seeds and culinary nuts.

Animals

All species of animals in any status, alive or dead, in whole or in part, including but not limited to other living organisms such as fungi and insects.

Chemical substances

All kinds of chemicals substances, specimens and samples for medical or scientific uses, such as body fluid and tissue.

Specific Technology Products

Any prohibited technological products, such as binoculars which can be used as telescope for guns, satellite equipments, laser eyeglasses, voice changing device, any machine linked to the GPS service, etc.

Telecommunications devices

All kinds of telecommunication devices and equipment may need an NTC license, such as mobile phones and fax machines. If required, items without the NTC license may not be shipped.

Specific Home appliances

Such as Electric fans and their spare parts, televisions, TV cards, etc.

CD, DVD and it’s kind

CDs, DVDs, and tapes up to 6pcs is allowed.

Luxury and Entertainment

Tobacco and Smoking devices

All kinds of cigarettes, tobacco, electronic cigarettes, cultivated tobacco, smokeless tobacco products, and any related accessories and products including nicotine-free vapes, etc. For example, lighter, hookah (waterpipe), tobacco tar, other solvents instead of tar, and its smoking or vaping devices

Precious goods

All kinds of precious goods, such as antiques, bullion, diamond, gold, silver, jewelry, ivory, and other precious Metals, minerals and stones.

Gambling products

All kinds of lotteries and gambling equipments, such as gambling machines, lottery / sweepstake tickets, playing cards, gambling articles, etc.

Films

All kinds of films in different purpose and format, such as 8mm, 16mm and 35mm films, film for entertaining, etc.

Dangerous Goods

Flammables

Flammable solids, liquid and any substance that releases flammable gases when in contact with water. Such as activated carbon, titanium powder, rubber debris, safety matches, phosphorus, sulfur, metal powder, nail polish, hair dye products, etc.

Compressed Gas and Cylinder

Such as compressed air, dry ice, fire extinguishers, gas cylinders, inflatable spheres, lifesaving devices, explosive airbags, aerosols, gas lighters, light bulbs, canned and carbonated drinks, etc.

Corrosive Substances

All kinds of substances that will trigger damaging chemical reactions when in contact with the human body, other goods, logistic vehicles, etc.

Shock absorbers

All kinds of shock absorbers and dampers, including the dampers for cars and motorcycles, etc.

Explosives

All items that may explode during transport, such as explosives, fireworks, detonators and fire, etc.

Knives, Daggers and Bow

Restricted knives, daggers, bow, blade and other weapons restricted by the government of the Philippines or HKSAR are strictly prohibited. (Tableware and kitchenware iare excluded but the blade should not be longer than 15cm)

Guns and related accessories

All kinds of guns, gun-like objects and any military/Combat equipment (or tools with similar purposes), such as gun belt, water gun, air gun, toy guns, fire-fighting shotgun, bullets and cartridge cases, etc.

Radioactive materials

Radioactive substances, oxidants and organic Peroxides. Such as uranium, radium, hydrogen peroxide, sodium peroxide, potassium nitrate, chromium trioxide, etc.

Toxic and Infectious Substances

All toxic and infectious substances, such as poisonous natural substances, poisons, toxic bacteria and viruses, dangerous pathogens and medical wastes.

Magnetic items

All kinds of magnets and objects with a strong magnetic field. As magnetic objects affect the aircraft signal, they will NOT pass the security check.

Special commodities

Cannabidiol (CBD)

Any products marked with the words “CBD” or “cannabidiol”, or the logo of cannabis leaf on the packaging or label. Examples of CBD products include but are not limited to skin care products, edible oils, soft chews/gummies, chocolate, coffee powder, tea, beverages, health supplements, etc.

Cash and Cash Equivalents

All types of cash, cash-like negotiable instruments, items that are equivalent to Money and their counterfeits, such as Money Order, collectible coins / stamps, cash coupons, gift cards and marketable securities.

Battery

Such as Lithium Batteries installed in equipment which is >100WH, Stand-Alone Delivery of Batteries, Separate Batches of Dry Batteries, Electronic Components, Power Bank, etc. They will NOT Pass the Security check.

Fragrances

Such as perfumes, perfume balms, fragrances, reed diffusers, perfume pens/pencils, bathroom fragrances, any other scented products, etc.

Alcohols

All kinds of alcohols and products consist of alcohol, such as Alcoholic drinks and perfumes.

Illegal materials

All illegal materials, anti-government propaganda document and passports, such as electronic passports, communistic materials, adulterated articles of food and drugs, childcare articles, articles intended for use in performance of unlawful abortions, etc.

Specific Cosmetics

All comestics items with a flammable label and items which will be expired within 6 months are prohibited. For every shipment, both >10 pieces of Lipsticks or 1 kg of Assorted cosmetics are not allowed to be shipped.

Pornographic

Magazine or materials and other objectionable material

Pornography including in the forms of CD, DVDs, machines, toys, printed materials and etc.

Remote Controlled items

Any remote controlled items such as drones, remote controlled cars, helicopters and planes.

SIM Cards

All kinds of SIM Cards, such as Prepaid or Postpaid SIM Cards.

Molded Parcels

Moldy parcels producing unusual smell.

Bar soap

Any bar soap should not be more than 2 kg in a shipment.

Counterfeit goods

All types of counterfeit goods and illegal goods including but not limited to clothes, devices and fake money.

Household Cleaning products

Any household cleaning products or devices, such as softeners and dishwashers should not be more than 5 kg in a shipment.

Others

Other goods prohibited by law from import or export, any dangerous goods under other provisions of prohibited goods in the air, or goods which may cause delay in carriage.
